Job Overview:
The Administrative Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, a global health initiative funded by the U.S. Department of State, which operates from 2019 to 202
  • This position is specifically aligned with EpiC’s Global Health security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security (GHS) workplan, which aims to enhance national, subnational, and local capacities for preventing, detecting, and responding to public health emergencies, including pandemic preparedness. The Administrative Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to both the Country Office and Technical Teams, ensuring the smooth execution of project activities. This role involves coordinating logistics, documentation, and administrative requirements for various program activities such as meetings, workshops, and training sessions, thereby facilitating the effective implementation of the project’s objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Administrative Officer's duties include facilitating operational and administrative coordination for the Technical Team, managing procurement requests, ensuring compliance with donor policies, monitoring procurement status, and collaborating with requestors and the procurement team. The officer will track traveling staff locations, prepare activity materials, and act as a liaison for the GHS field offices. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support for workshops and training, responding to team requests for document preparation and tracking, maintaining organized records of administrative and technical documents, and offering general administrative assistance to the Country Office. The role also involves asset inventory management, ensuring accurate records of office materials and supplies, and supporting the supervisor in project administration and operations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and have 3-5 years of relevant work experience. They should demonstrate familiarity with office administrative procedures, standards, and equipment, as well as proficiency in office software applications and computer spreadsheets. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage high-volume workflows with minimal supervision, and excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential. The candidate should be service-minded and capable of handling multiple tasks while delivering high-quality results on time.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position, which serves as the foundational educational qualification. This degree should ideally be in a field related to administration, management, or a relevant discipline that supports the functions of the role.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have 3-5 years of related work experience, particularly in office administration or a similar field. Languages:
