Job Overview:
The Finance Technical Assistant position at NRC in N'Djamena is designed for a motivated and qualified individual who will actively contribute to managing the financial activities of NRC. The role involves ensuring compliance with NRC's policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines while providing support for the implementation of quality projects. The Finance Technical Assistant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, managing cash expenditures, and ensuring proper documentation and archiving of financial records. This position requires a proactive approach to improving support functions and ensuring that financial operations are conducted efficiently and transparently. The successful candidate will work closely with supervisors and management to report on the progress of financial activities and assist in the overall financial management of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Technical Assistant will have a variety of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: working in compliance with NRC policies and guidelines; assisting in the implementation of support functions according to the action plan; preparing reports on the status of support activities as requested by supervisors or management; ensuring proper archiving of documents; managing cash expenditures; preparing expense reports; verifying supporting documents for cash receipts and disbursements; preparing daily cash expenditure reports; tracking advances; preparing vouchers for disbursements and receipts; maintaining physical and electronic archives of financial documents; processing payments to suppliers and beneficiaries; ensuring that signatories on financial documents are authorized according to the delegation of authority; and performing any other relevant tasks related to the role.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Finance Technical Assistant position should possess a strong background in finance, particularly in humanitarian contexts. Required qualifications include professional experience as an assistant in a finance role, preferably within complex and unstable environments. Proven results in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position are essential. Candidates should have a deep understanding of the social, cultural, economic, and legal context of Chad, as well as knowledge of the Chadian financial system. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required, along with strong communication skills in both French and Arabic, with English being an asset. Educational Background:
