Job Overview:
The Stakeholders’ Content Development and Management Consultant position is designed to support the UNDP in Lebanon by developing and managing content that engages stakeholders effectively. The consultant will be responsible for creating high-quality content that aligns with UNDP's strategic objectives and enhances communication with various stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of the local context and the ability to translate complex information into accessible formats. The consultant will work closely with UNDP teams to ensure that the content produced meets the needs of the organization and its partners, fostering collaboration and promoting the initiatives of UNDP in Lebanon. The position is expected to last for 40 days, spread over 11 weeks, starting from the contract signature date. The consultant will need to demonstrate creativity and strategic thinking in content development while adhering to UNDP's guidelines and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Conducting thorough research to understand the needs and interests of stakeholders in Lebanon.
  • Developing a content strategy that aligns with UNDP's objectives and addresses the specific needs of the target audience.
  • Creating engaging and informative content for various platforms, including reports, articles, social media posts, and presentations.
  • Collaborating with UNDP staff to gather insights and information necessary for content creation.
  • Managing the content review and approval process to ensure quality and compliance with UNDP standards.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the content produced and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Providing training and support to UNDP staff on content management and development best practices.
  • Ensuring that all content is culturally sensitive and appropriate for the Lebanese context.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in content development and management, with a proven track record of producing high-quality materials for diverse audiences. Essential qualifications include:
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
  • Familiarity with UNDP's mission and objectives, as well as the socio-political context of Lebanon.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for content creation and management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, international relations, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset. Candidates should have a strong academic background that supports their ability to perform the duties of the position effectively.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of professional experience in content development, stakeholder engagement, or a related field. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development or humanitarian assistance, is highly desirable. Familiarity with UNDP's operations and methodologies will be considered a significant advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders. Knowledge of French or other languages may be considered an asset, depending on the specific needs of the project.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as an individual contractor role, and the contract duration is for 40 days spread over 11 weeks. The consultant is expected to work on a full-time basis during this period. The position is based in Lebanon, and candidates should be prepared to engage with local stakeholders and adapt to the cultural context. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and additional benefits may be provided as per UNDP policies.
