Job Overview:
The BRIDGE Microsoft 365 Knowledge Management Undergraduate Intern position is part of WWF's internship" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">summer internship program, which aims to provide paid opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. This internship is designed for individuals who may not have extensive professional experience and who are exploring conservation as a potential career path. The intern will join the Productivity & Collaboration Services team, focusing on enhancing how staff utilize Microsoft 365 tools. The role involves improving the content on WWF’s intranet and advancing governance practices for SharePoint and Teams sites. Interns will gain practical experience in content design, digital governance, and user adoption strategies, contributing to significant organizational needs that affect staff globally.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for several key tasks, including:
  • Content Modernization & Intranet Management: Reviewing published intranet content to identify outdated or inconsistent pages, contacting content owners for updates, and improving SharePoint pages using modern web parts and templates. The intern will also analyze user behavior through analytics to prioritize content improvements.
  • Microsoft 365 Governance & Site Owner Attestation Workflow: Assisting in the design and management of a site owner attestation workflow to ensure SharePoint sites and Teams have designated owners. This includes reviewing site inventories, contacting site owners for confirmation of ownership, and documenting governance procedures.
  • Adoption, Training & Communications Support: Creating user-friendly guidance and communication assets to support user adoption of Microsoft 365 tools. The intern will gather user feedback, identify process simplifications, and support migration or cleanup projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be actively enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s program in Knowledge Management, Information Science, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field. Those studying outside these areas are encouraged to apply. Applicants should align with WWF’s core values and demonstrate strong writing and editing skills, interpersonal skills, and familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as the intern will manage multiple content workflows simultaneously.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Knowledge Management, Information Science, Business, or Organizational Development. Applicants must be actively enrolled students and should not have received their degree by the internship start date of June 1, 2026.

Experience:
While prior professional experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new digital tools. Experience with SharePoint content creation or knowledge management strategies is preferred but not required. The internship is particularly aimed at students who may not have had extensive professional exposure in the conservation sector.
