Job Overview: The Online Volunteer position is designed to support the national outreach efforts for the International Year of the Volunteer (IVY) 202
Volunteers will work under the guidance of the Office of the National Commission on Social Welfare Promotion and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV). The primary function of this role is to raise public awareness about the Department of Social Development and Welfare (DSDW) Platform, which allows individuals to register as formal volunteers in Thailand and document their volunteering activities. Volunteers will engage in digital outreach, utilizing social media to promote the IVY 2026 initiative and encourage others to participate in volunteer activities. This role requires a commitment to social media engagement, tracking metrics, and participating in orientation sessions to ensure effective communication and outreach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Share approved campaign materials, including graphics, flyers, videos, captions, and key messages on personal social media platforms to promote IVY 2026 and the DSDW Platform.
Encourage peers, networks, and organizations to submit their volunteering activities via LINE or Google Form.
Maintain a posting frequency of approximately 2-3 posts per week.
Track and report basic engagement metrics such as likes, shares, comments, and clicks on a weekly basis using a shared Google Sheet.
Follow all posting, reporting, and branding guidelines provided by the UNV and the Office of the National Commission on Social Welfare Promotion.
Participate in a mandatory online orientation session at the start of the assignment.
Coordinate a group of 10 online volunteers, providing support and guidance to ensure consistent and timely posting of activities.
Assist in translating content into local languages if necessary.
Serve as a communication link between the main coordinator and the volunteer group, addressing basic inquiries and forwarding issues as needed. 1
