Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is situated within the Marketing and Development department, which consists of 12 individuals. The intern will report directly to the Editorial Referent and collaborate with the Press Relations Officer. The primary focus of this role is to support the communication service in editorial production and press relations. The intern will engage in various tasks that contribute to the overall communication strategy of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL, gaining insights into the functioning of an NGO's headquarters and its connections with field missions. The internship is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of humanitarian issues and the operational dynamics of the organization, while also allowing the intern to enhance their editorial skills and understand the relationship between journalists and NGOs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to: producing and managing editorial content, contributing to the creation of publications, assisting in project management by collecting data, conducting interviews, and researching information. The intern will also perform editorial secretarial duties such as proofreading, revising, and correcting content. Additional responsibilities include writing various materials such as articles, web content, press releases, press kits, and media reviews. The intern will update web content in coordination with other departments, transcribe videos, research and select iconographic materials, manage translation needs for web articles, and conduct editorial monitoring to track trends and propose topics. Furthermore, the intern will support the Press Relations Officer by organizing interview requests, collecting information, following up on interviews, and assisting during media appearances. The intern will also track press coverage using the LuQi monitoring tool, analyze press outcomes, and create and update media distribution lists. Occasional tasks may involve processing and validating photo imports into the photo library, contributing to communication and engagement initiatives, and participating in crisis communication during humanitarian emergencies.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher education degree (minimum bac +3) in journalism, communication, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, or humanitarian project management. They should have excellent writing skills, with a perfect command of French and a good level of English (both written and spoken). The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical and synthesis capabilities, autonomy, rigor, organization, and efficiency. A strong team spirit and genuine interest in the non-profit and humanitarian sectors are essential. Proficiency in computer applications such as Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, and social media platforms is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this internship includes a minimum of a bac +3 level degree in relevant fields such as journalism, communication, international law, or humanitarian project management. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of communication within the humanitarian sector and for effectively contributing to the organization's objectives.

Experience:
While prior experience is not explicitly required for this internship position, any relevant experience in communication, journalism, or humanitarian work will be considered an asset. The internship is designed for individuals who are looking to gain practical experience and develop their skills in a professional setting, particularly within the context of an NGO.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and a good command of English is also required, both in written and spoken forms. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered advantageous but is not a strict requirement for this position.

Additional Notes:
The internship is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), accessible via the Mairie de Clichy metro station. The internship requires a formal internship agreement. Compensation will be calculated based on actual hours worked per month, averaging around 154 hours, which equates to 22 days of 7 hours each. There is a possibility of remote work for 4 to 12 days per month, subject to agreement with the current telework charter and the internship supervisor. Additionally, public transportation costs will be reimbursed at 50% by SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL.
