Job Overview:
The Portfolio & Results Management Associate (Data Analyst) position at the World Bank's Climate Investment Fund (CIF) is designed for a dynamic individual who will support CIF's monitoring, reporting, results, and portfolio management functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Portfolio & Results Management and collaborate with various teams within the CIF Secretariat, as well as key stakeholders such as Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), contributors, and recipient countries. This role requires a strong focus on data management, analysis, and visualization, ensuring that the CIF's data systems are effective and that results are communicated clearly to diverse audiences. The Associate will also contribute to the development of knowledge products and support the CIF's mission of mobilizing low-cost finance for energy system transformation and sustainable development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Portfolio & Results Management Associate include coordinating the data management function for CIF’s monitoring and reporting systems, ensuring timely and accurate collection and validation of results-related data, and supporting the design and quality assurance of the CIF Collaboration Hub (CCH). The Associate will visualize complex datasets through various tools, conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, and support the annual results reporting process. Additional responsibilities include undertaking research, maintaining the CIF website, assisting in process improvements, and contributing to discussions on operational efficiencies and innovations in data management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree relevant to data science, climate change, international development, or related fields. A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience is required, with 3-5 years preferred. Candidates should have experience managing large datasets, data visualization, and a strong understanding of data collection and analysis functions. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation tools, strong research and writing skills, and operational knowledge of CIF and MDBs are also essential. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and motivation to take on new responsibilities over time.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as data science, climate change, international development, monitoring and evaluation, natural sciences, social sciences, economics, or public policy. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of data management and analysis in the context of climate financing and development practices.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional working experience, with a preference for candidates who have 3-5 years of experience. This experience should include managing large datasets, conducting data analysis, and familiarity with data visualization tools. Direct experience in one or more CIF-targeted regions is also advantageous, as it provides context for the work being done.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English. Proficiency in French or Spanish is considered a plus, as it may enhance communication with diverse stakeholders and contribute to the effectiveness of the role.
