Job Overview: The Analyst position at WJCF is designed to support the Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, and Newborn Health (SRMNH) program by enhancing data-driven decision-making and generating insights that inform program implementation. The Analyst will collaborate closely with government stakeholders and internal teams to develop high-quality program materials and analyses. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in handling large datasets, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations. The Analyst will contribute to various workstreams across SRH and Maternal and Child Health (MNCH) domains, assisting in the preparation of dashboards, reports, presentations, and research products that drive program success.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will be responsible for a range of duties including: providing analytical and programmatic support across SRMNH initiatives; cleaning, validating, and analyzing data from multiple health information systems; developing and maintaining dashboards and monitoring tools to track program performance; conducting primary and secondary research to generate evidence and identify service delivery gaps; supporting monitoring and evaluation activities by designing tools and frameworks; synthesizing quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable reports and presentations; contributing to project management by coordinating implementation plans; engaging with stakeholders to strengthen collaboration; assessing supply chain dynamics for SRH and MNCH products; supporting innovative service delivery models; providing operational support for meetings and documentation; and assisting in scoping new opportunities and developing proposals.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as public health, administration, economics, social work, sociology, management, or population studies with at least 1 year of experience. High technical proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word is required, and experience with advanced analytical tools is a plus. Candidates should be able to synthesize a broad range of information and prepare compelling presentations and reports. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Hindi are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with the Indian public health system and experience working with government stakeholders are advantageous.
Educational Background: The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates holding a postgraduate degree in public health, administration, economics, social work, sociology, management, or population studies. The educational background should provide a solid foundation for understanding health systems and program implementation.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience for those with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 1 year of experience for those with a postgraduate degree. Experience working with government stakeholders and familiarity with the Indian public health system will be considered a significant advantage. Candidates should also demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently on complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not required.
