Job Overview: The Storekeeper position at WFP involves managing warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt and dispatch of goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Storekeeper will work under minimal supervision, reporting to the Warehouse Assistant or Deputy. Duties and Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the Storekeeper include:
Efficiently managing the receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate physical counts and quality checks against official documentation.
Establishing, verifying, and validating warehouse and transport documents, managing confidential files, and maintaining accurate data on warehouse operations.
Conducting daily stock reconciliations and inspections to ensure compliance with internal control systems.
Monitoring the condition of the warehouse and goods, planning storage space efficiently, and ensuring adherence to WFP's storage standards.
Training and guiding warehouse staff to enhance their skills and efficiency.
Reporting discrepancies in stock levels and investigating the causes of losses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Implementing quality control measures for food and non-food items in accordance with WFP procedures.
Performing other related duties as required to support warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Storekeeper position should possess the following qualifications:
