Job Overview:
The position of Facilitateur FNG is crucial in addressing the persistent challenges of security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security and nutrition in Haiti, particularly among vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant and lactating women, and low-income households. The role involves supporting the World Food Programme's initiatives aimed at improving nutritional outcomes through targeted interventions. The Facilitateur FNG will be responsible for conducting a Fill the Nutrient Gap analysis to identify barriers to accessing nutritious food and will work closely with various stakeholders, including government ministries and local partners, to develop practical recommendations for enhancing food access. This position requires a deep understanding of the local context and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders to facilitate discussions and coordinate efforts towards improving nutrition in Haiti.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Facilitateur FNG will have a range of responsibilities, including:
  • Supporting the collection and analysis of nutritional, economic, and food-related data.
  • Identifying specific nutritional gaps affecting different population groups.
  • Contributing to the development of actionable recommendations to improve access to nutritious food.
  • Acting as a liaison for external partners throughout the FNG process.
  • Collaborating with national and international partners involved in nutritional responses.
  • Organizing discussion forums to analyze collected data with universities and government entities.
  • Facilitating meetings among various stakeholders by communicating technical and operational meeting agendas.
  • Managing multi-stakeholder engagement with UN agencies, universities, the private sector, civil society, and NGOs to enhance collaboration for the success of the FNG analysis.
  • Organizing a validation workshop for the final FNG analysis document in collaboration with WFP and the government.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher university degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in nutrition, public health, or a related area is required, preferably within academic, governmental, international organizations, or NGOs. The ability to manage processes involving multiple stakeholders and to conduct documentary and data analyses is essential. Experience working with Haitian government counterparts is preferred, along with a solid understanding of Haiti's nutritional landscape and national programs related to food security, nutrition, health, and social protection policies.

Educational Background:
A higher university degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field is mandatory for this position. This educational background is critical to ensure that the candidate has the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the nutritional initiatives and analyses required by the World Food Programme.

Experience:
The position requires at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in nutrition, public health, or a related field. This experience should ideally include work in academic settings, government agencies, international organizations, or NGOs, demonstrating the candidate's ability to navigate complex environments and engage with various stakeholders effectively.

Languages:
Proficiency in French and English at a C level is mandatory for this position. This bilingual requirement is crucial for effective communication with local partners and international stakeholders involved in the nutritional initiatives in Haiti. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.
