This includes collaborating with ESCAP to determine the objectives, tone, format, and timelines for the video content. The contractor will also coordinate with communications staff to identify suitable video material and ensure that all outputs comply with UN ESCAP and donor branding guidelines. The role requires the contractor to film on-site, conduct interviews with participants, and produce edited video materials that effectively communicate the key outcomes and messages of the events.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The contractor's responsibilities include:
  • Supporting ESCAP with the planning and production of audiovisual materials related to the AGIC project.
  • Collaborating with ESCAP to agree on objectives, tone, format, and timelines for the video content.
  • Coordinating with communications staff to identify suitable video material for production.
  • Filming on-site during events and conducting short interviews with participants to capture their insights and experiences.
  • Editing and producing video outputs that adhere to UN ESCAP and donor branding and communication guidelines.
  • Ensuring that all video materials are suitable for use across various digital platforms and formats.
  • Delivering all outputs within the agreed timeline and maintaining high-quality standards in video production.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in media production, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in video production and communications, particularly in development contexts.
  • Proven experience in producing short-form video content for events.
  • Strong storytelling and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives through video.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as media production, communications, or journalism. This educational background is essential to ensure that the contractor has the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively produce high-quality video content that meets the standards of UN ESCAP and its stakeholders.
