Job Overview:
The position of Intern at the EBRD in Tashkent is designed for individuals looking to gain practical experience in the banking sector. The intern will work closely with the banking team, providing support in various transaction-related processes. The intern will be involved in gathering data, conducting research, and analyzing information related to companies and sectors. Additionally, the intern will assist in drafting documents and correspondence, attend meetings, and support the team in its Technical Cooperation (TC) projects. This position is a six-month internship that offers a unique chance to learn from experienced bankers and contribute to meaningful projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks under the supervision of the banking team. Key responsibilities include: conducting financial analysis of companies and projects, including the construction of financial projections and cash flow models; gathering and analyzing data to provide background information on companies or sectors; offering administrative and analytical support in project monitoring; producing reports required during the project cycle; liaising with the Bank’s internal credit department and other relevant departments; drafting specific portions of EBRD documents and correspondence; attending meetings with bankers as appropriate; and assisting in the Team's TC Project. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the banking team and gaining hands-on experience in the field.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess proven analytical skills, numerical skills, and financial skills, including the ability to design basic financial models. The ability to work well within a team is essential, as is having very good written and verbal communication skills in English. Educational Background:
A good relevant degree from a leading university in the country of education is required, preferably in economics, finance, or business. Candidates should also demonstrate computer literacy, which is essential for performing the tasks associated with this internship.

While prior experience is not mandatory, some relevant commercial experience is preferred. Experience in other International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and donor experience will be considered a plus, as it may provide valuable insights into the workings of the banking sector and enhance the intern's contributions to the team.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, particularly in written and verbal communication. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, as it can facilitate communication in a diverse working environment.
