Job Overview:
The Analyst position at WJCF, an Indian not-for-profit entity affiliated with CHAI, is focused on supporting the National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) in India. The role involves delivering critical program insights by leveraging various data sources and field insights to aid in the elimination of vector-borne diseases (VBDs) such as malaria and lymphatic filariasis. The Analyst will be responsible for data collation, analysis, and visualization, as well as identifying innovative approaches and technologies to support the elimination goals. This position is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of health programs and ensuring that decision-makers have access to accurate and actionable information.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will be tasked with consolidating and cleaning data from multiple sources to conduct multi-dimensional analyses that provide targeted insights to officials at NCVBDC. They will develop and socialize both pre-defined and custom reports and dashboards for use by NCVBDC and state functionaries, facilitating routine program planning and decision-making. Additionally, the Analyst will create technical briefs and fact sheets to communicate key findings and suggestions across various government levels. They will document program progress through reports and presentations, and undertake periodic visits to states and districts to identify challenges and address gaps in the program. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed, ensuring that the Analyst remains flexible and responsive to the evolving needs of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in public health, statistics, economics, life sciences, or related fields, with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 1 year of professional experience. Professional experience in dynamic and innovative environments, such as life science research, impact evaluation, development consulting, or public sector advisory, is essential. Candidates should also have experience with monitoring and evaluation (M&E), data analytics, and dashboard development for funded projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, along with the ability to work independently in high-pressure settings and adapt to new challenges.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as public health, statistics, economics, or life sciences. A Master’s degree in these areas is preferred, particularly for candidates with less professional experience. The educational qualifications should equip candidates with the necessary analytical and technical skills to perform the duties of the Analyst effectively.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience for those with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 1 year of experience for those with a Master’s degree.
