Job Overview: The Finance Supervisor will operate under the hierarchical responsibility of the Regional Finance Manager, with additional oversight from the Country Manager and Regional Director. This role involves collaboration with various departments within the missions and the regional office. The Finance Supervisor is tasked with producing high-quality financial information and ensuring adherence to budget frameworks, local and donor regulations, and HI’s financial tools and standards. The position requires leading finance teams, ensuring compliance with HI’s standards and local regulations, and managing operational financial strategies within the designated area of responsibility. The Finance Supervisor will also play a crucial role in the integration of financial operations between the Mashriq and Syria programs, which is a significant aspect of the current restructuring efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Supervisor's duties encompass several key missions: 1) Management: Overseeing finance teams and ensuring compliance with HI’s standards. 2) Strategy and Steering: Implementing and monitoring financial strategies, updating financial information, and reporting financial risks. 3) Standards and Expertise: Deploying HI’s financial policies, ensuring legal obligations are met, and complying with GDPR. 4) Operational Implementation: Contributing to financial and budget management, assisting with institutional funding management, and ensuring the quality of partners’ financial information. 5) Profession Facilitation: Monitoring professional standards and facilitating skills development within the team. 6) Emergency Preparedness and Response: Leading emergency preparedness actions and reorganizing team priorities during emergencies to ensure effective humanitarian responses.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in similar roles within international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), preferably with French INGOs. A strong understanding of international donor audit procedures (including USAID, UN, EU, UK, GIZ, UNHCR) is essential. The ability to build capacity and train others is highly valued. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAVISION is considered a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, as well as a commitment to HI’s mission and values.

Employees are entitled to 25 paid leave days per year and 1 rest and recuperation day per month. The position is unaccompanied, with collective housing provided by HI.
