Duties and Responsibilities: The UN Volunteer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Communication, Outreach, and Coordination: - Participate in community outreach activities to disseminate information on complementary pathways. - Gather and document feedback from refugee communities regarding challenges in accessing these pathways. - Organize webinars and virtual sessions on topics such as digital livelihoods and education opportunities. - Support the Community-Based Protection team in outreach strategies, particularly for vulnerable groups. - Document community feedback and share it with relevant units for follow-up. - Conduct training sessions for returnees on using job platforms like Bayt.com.
Capacity Building, Learning, and Research: - Engage in global training initiatives related to complementary pathways. - Complete the Bayt.com Training of Trainers program to assist refugees effectively. - Collect and analyze information on available complementary pathways.
Additional Tasks: - Provide individual case counseling focused on career guidance and job search assistance. - Document good practices and lessons learned from refugee feedback. - Support other relevant units as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the UN Volunteer position should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse communities. Additional Notes: This position is a part-time national UN Volunteer assignment based in Amman, Jordan. Volunteers will receive a Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of JOD 229.01, along with annual and learning leaves, free medical and life insurance, and access to various learning platforms. The living conditions in Amman are generally favorable, with a range of amenities available. However, volunteers are responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials. The role requires a commitment to the UN's core values and ethical standards.
