Job Overview: In this full-time role, which is a maximum term position until June 30, 2026, the Youth Specialist will be part of the Bail Support team in Hervey Bay. The primary focus of this role is to create lasting change for children by providing quality service delivery, engaging with young people and their families, managing stakeholder relationships, and monitoring and evaluating program outcomes. The Youth Specialist will assist young people in meeting their bail requirements and individual goals, making a significant impact on their lives and futures. Duties and Responsibilities: The Youth Specialist will be responsible for the following duties:
Provision of quality service delivery to young people and their families, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Engagement with young people to build rapport and trust, facilitating open communication and support.
Management of stakeholder relationships, including collaboration with other service providers and community organizations.
Monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Assisting young people in meeting their bail requirements, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their individual goals.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to service delivery and program outcomes.
Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of program strategies and initiatives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess demonstrated skills and experience in working with culturally diverse young people, including First Nations young people and those in contact with the Justice system. A strong background in Youth Work or Case Management is essential, along with an understanding of complex intergenerational trauma.
