Job Overview: The Digital Analyst position at CIMMYT is designed for a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional who will work within the Engagement Chapter. The role is crucial for supporting the strategic management, evolution, and performance of CIMMYT’s external digital ecosystem. The Digital Analyst will ensure that corporate and project digital platforms are functional, engaging, data-informed, and aligned with CIMMYT’s mission to advance inclusive, productive, and resilient agrifood systems. This position combines hands-on website management, light digital development, analytics, and creative problem-solving to strengthen CIMMYT’s digital presence and enhance external engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Digital Analyst will be responsible for a variety of key tasks, including: managing, updating, and optimizing CIMMYT’s corporate website using WordPress and/or Drupal; editing, publishing, and structuring content in coordination with internal stakeholders; ensuring consistency in design, navigation, accessibility, and user experience; applying SEO best practices to support content discoverability; identifying opportunities to improve performance, usability, and engagement; designing and implementing project webpages, microsites, and landing pages; supporting the conceptualization and functional design of external portals or applications; translating project requirements into clear digital structures and user journeys; coordinating with external developers or vendors for advanced development needs; ensuring quality control, usability, and alignment with CIMMYT branding and standards; supporting the setup and management of external digital channels linked to campaigns and initiatives; enabling marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing activities through tracking, tagging, and optimization; ensuring coherence between campaigns, websites, portals, and user journeys; providing technical and analytical support to communications and outreach efforts; monitoring website, portal, and campaign performance using analytics tools; analyzing data to inform content, UX, and channel optimization decisions; producing concise, actionable performance insights for internal decision-making; and bringing creative thinking to digital storytelling, structure, and user experience.
