Job Overview: The position seeks two volunteers with experience in artificial intelligence (AI) and its application in education to design and deliver a virtual course aimed at university educators. The course aims to equip participants with practical knowledge and tools to integrate AI into their teaching-learning processes. The training will consist of 20 hours spread over 10 sessions of 2 hours each, scheduled from 18:00 (GMT-5), Monday to Friday, via Microsoft Teams. This initiative is part of the 'Innovative Education with Advanced Technology' project, which aims to modernize pedagogical practices and reduce the digital divide in education. The course will focus on practical, accessible approaches relevant to real classroom contexts, providing immediate-use examples and tools.
Duties and Responsibilities: The volunteers will be responsible for designing the course program, creating educational materials (such as presentations, practical guides, and digital resources), and developing classroom activities. They will conduct live sessions via Microsoft Teams, combining theoretical instruction with demonstrations and practical workshops. Weekly virtual coordination meetings with the organizing team will be required, lasting 30 minutes on a mutually agreed day. Volunteers must also be available to respond to participant inquiries through the course forum or email. Additionally, they will design and review a final applied activity where educators will present a project integrating AI into their teaching practice.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a solid understanding of artificial intelligence and its educational applications. Experience in course design and delivery, particularly in virtual environments, is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with educators in a supportive manner are also required. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and digital teaching tools is necessary to facilitate effective online learning experiences.
Educational Background: A degree in education, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
