Job Overview: The Program Lead for the Project and Vendor Management Division (ITDPV) within the Information Technology Department (ITD) at the IMF is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and management of various programs and projects. This position requires a strategic approach to program management, ensuring that all initiatives align with the IMF's business needs and technical standards. The Program Lead will be tasked with managing resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations while providing leadership and technical direction to project teams. The role emphasizes the importance of collaboration across departments and with external vendors to achieve the desired outcomes efficiently and effectively. The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Lead will lead the management of program/project scope, resources, timeframe, and expectations in alignment with budgets. This includes close collaboration with the Program Chief, sponsors, and Steering Committee members to ensure successful implementation of both business and technical workstreams. The incumbent will motivate and manage the program/project team, supervise day-to-day activities, identify risks, and recommend mitigating actions. Responsibilities also include planning and executing major transformation initiatives, resolving project-related issues, monitoring progress, and providing timely reports to management. The Program Lead will ensure adherence to security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">information security requirements and project management best practices, while also building effective relationships among stakeholders and ensuring that project goals are accomplished on schedule and within budget.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, along with a minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a related field with at least fourteen years of relevant experience is acceptable. Preferred qualifications include industry-recognized Program and Project Management Certifications such as MSP, PMP, or Prince
Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of experience managing diverse teams and delivering complex IT projects, along with exceptional program/project management, organization, and communication skills. Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale IT programs, building relationships with stakeholders, and applying project management methodologies is essential.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field. A bachelor's degree in a related field is acceptable if accompanied by extensive relevant experience. Candidates are encouraged to hold industry-recognized certifications in program and project management, which are preferred but not mandatory.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience for candidates with an advanced degree, or fourteen years for those with a bachelor's degree. Candidates should have proven experience managing diverse and multi-skilled teams, particularly in the context of complex IT projects. A strong track record of successful project delivery, including experience with large-scale programs and stakeholder management, is essential.

Additional Notes: This is a one-year contractual appointment, with the possibility of renewal for up to four years based on performance, budget availability, and ongoing business needs. The position is classified at levels A13 and A14 within the IMF's hiring framework.
