Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the operations of the SCBD. Additionally, the intern will maintain organized Excel-based tracking tools for program-related follow-up activities. In terms of museum support, the intern will enhance the Museum of Nature and Culture inventory by reviewing and verifying existing items in collaboration with SCBD staff. The intern will also assess the current museum layout and develop a plan for improving exhibition displays. Data management tasks will involve optimizing Excel workflows and contributing to improved reporting processes. The intern will assist with HR-related administrative tasks, including document organization and recruitment support. Furthermore, the intern will help the finance unit with various operational tasks, conduct market research for procurement, and correspond with vendors and stakeholders. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support SCBD operations and program delivery.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent); or have graduated with a university degree. Candidates should be computer literate in standard software applications and demonstrate a keen interest in the work of the United Nations, along with a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter. Additionally, applicants should have the ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs, showing tolerance and understanding of differing opinions.
