Job Overview:
The Azure AI/ML Engineer Intern position at the EBRD is designed for individuals eager to gain practical experience in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. This role is part of the Bank's initiative to enhance its operational effectiveness through the development of AI/ML capabilities within its IT department. Interns will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects that involve designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML applications on the Azure platform. Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a range of tasks that contribute to the development and deployment of AI-powered applications. Key responsibilities include: working within a software development team to enhance the DevOps pipeline, building and deploying AI applications using Python, designing and developing Azure AI Services, setting up data ingestion pipelines, and developing search-related components using Azure AI Search. The intern will also collaborate with MLOps engineers to integrate MLOps practices into the development lifecycle, provide technical expertise for AI solutions, develop unit tests and automated regression packs, and document AI development processes. Additionally, the intern will stay updated on industry trends and best practices in AI technology, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of AI models through thorough testing and validation.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Azure AI/ML Engineer Intern position should possess a strong foundation in software development, particularly in Python programming. Essential qualifications include familiarity with cloud platforms, a basic understanding of AI and ML concepts, and experience with APIs and web services integration. Candidates should also have experience with version control systems like Git, excellent communication skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous learning. Solid troubleshooting skills and experience with package management systems such as Pip or Conda are also important. Desirable qualifications include a deeper understanding of machine learning concepts and knowledge of AI services such as OpenAI.
