Job Overview: The Online Volunteer position is designed to support the harmonization of key functions within the Executive Office at UN Headquarters. The primary responsibility of the volunteer will be to assist in the development of a change agent framework that will facilitate effective change management within the organization. This role is crucial as it will contribute to improved service delivery and the achievement of relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The volunteer will work closely with the Associate Programme Management Officer and will be tasked with drafting a comprehensive 10-page framework for a change agent network. This framework is intended to provide clarity and serve as a foundational document for driving sustainable and effective change implementation within the harmonization project.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Online Volunteer will be responsible for several key tasks, including: 1) Collaborating with the Associate Programme Management Officer to understand the objectives and requirements for the change agent framework. 2) Conducting research and gathering relevant information to inform the framework's development. 3) Drafting a detailed 10-page document that outlines the structure, roles, and responsibilities of the change agent network. 4) Participating in regular progress update calls to discuss developments, challenges, and next steps in the framework creation process. 5) Incorporating feedback from the Associate Programme Management Officer and other stakeholders to refine and finalize the framework. 6) Ensuring that the framework aligns with the overarching goals of the ISD and the UN Secretariat's operational support architecture.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Online Volunteer position should possess the following qualifications: 1) Strong written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely. 2) Experience in change management, organizational development, or related fields. 3) Familiarity with the United Nations system and its operational frameworks is highly desirable. 4) Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. 5) Proficiency in using digital communication tools and platforms for collaboration and reporting.
