Job Overview:
The position of Consultant in Graphic Design is aimed at providing professional support for the design of various graphic materials for UNICEF. The consultant will be responsible for creating visual content that includes graphic lines, partner reports, logos, email templates, newsletters, social media graphics, promotional material mockups, and infographics. The consultant is expected to deliver high-quality designs that align with UNICEF's mission and branding guidelines. The role requires a strong understanding of design principles, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively with UNICEF staff to meet project goals and deadlines. The consultant will also be responsible for ensuring that all products are delivered electronically with the required signatures and submitted to the service supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design a report for UNICEF partners, including a landing page, printed product mockup, illustrations of two life stories, and layout of the report. Deadline: 30 days from contract signing.
  • Create four graphic lines for campaigns with partners, ensuring the visual identity includes elements related to childhood, suggested typography, colors, and incorporation of the logo.
  • Develop 100 email templates.
  • Produce 10 BTL montages for corporate partners. Deadline: 120 days from contract signing.
  • Create 20 newsletters.
  • Develop 10 two-pagers. Deadline: 210 days from contract signing.
  • Produce 60 mockups of promotional materials.
  • Create 200 social media graphics.
  • Develop 12 infographics. Deadline: 330 days from contract signing. The consultant must ensure that all products meet UNICEF's satisfaction criteria and are delivered on time.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication.
  • Proven experience in graphic design with a focus on children's rights and adolescence themes.
  • Advanced proficiency in professional graphic design software.
  • Previous experience working with organizations dedicated to the promotion and defense of human rights.
  • Knowledge and application of artificial intelligence tools in design.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field is required. The candidate should have completed relevant courses that enhance their design skills and knowledge of ethical practices in design.

Experience:
The consultant must have a minimum of eight years of professional experience in graphic design. This experience should include a strong portfolio demonstrating work related to children's rights and human rights advocacy. The candidate should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality design projects within set deadlines.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as all communications and deliverables will be in Spanish. Knowledge of English is a plus but not required.

Additional Notes:
The contract will be a full-cost contract, meaning that all unforeseen expenses required for the service will be covered entirely by the hired professional. Payments will be made in local currency (soles) and will be contingent upon the satisfactory completion of products. The consultant will be responsible for their own tax obligations and must ensure that all necessary documentation, including proof of COVID-19 vaccination, is provided prior to contract signing. The selected candidate will not be considered a staff member of UNICEF and will not be entitled to benefits such as vacation or medical insurance. Adjustments will be made for consultants with disabilities as needed.
