Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Associate Project Officer include: assisting in the promotion of UNODC's work against trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants; supporting the implementation of the Regional Strategy against Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants; acting as the main focal point for the PROMIS project in Chad; participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the PROMIS project; monitoring project development and proposing corrective actions; liaising with national counterparts and civil society; conducting consulting assignments and facilitating workshops; providing technical expertise and logistical support; researching and analyzing information on trafficking and smuggling; preparing written outputs such as reports and publications; supporting consultative meetings and outreach activities; conducting training workshops; representing UNODC in various meetings; and contributing to data collection and analysis for informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in law, criminology, social science, international relations, political science, public administration, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree in a similar field combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
