Job Overview:
The Junior Land Consolidation Specialist will play a crucial role in the UTF/GEO/034/GEO-F project, which focuses on the formulation and design of land consolidation in Georgia. This position is integral to the FAO Representation in Georgia, where the primary goal is to assist the government in developing policies and programs aimed at achieving food security and reducing hunger and malnutrition. The specialist will support the introduction of a fully operational land consolidation instrument integrated with irrigation rehabilitation, contributing to increased agricultural production and investments, efficient land use, and improved access to land and credit. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies and international experts, to ensure the successful implementation of land consolidation activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including assisting in operational tasks related to land consolidation, supporting the implementation of activities under the GRAIL Project, facilitating communication among relevant agencies, preparing and overseeing workplans, organizing meetings to review project progress, maintaining a centralized database of project documentation, contributing to training and awareness-raising efforts, planning international missions, coordinating field activities, and preparing technical reports and deliverables. The role demands a proactive approach to ensure effective implementation and inter-agency collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Land Administration, Geomatics, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Law, Economics, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in land administration, GIS, agriculture, law, or a related area is required. Additionally, candidates must have a working knowledge of English at a C-level for both speaking and writing, and must be nationals of Georgia. The position also requires strong communication and coordination skills, as well as computer literacy in data management and analytical tools.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in a relevant field such as Land Administration, Geomatics, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Law, or Economics. Candidates must have their qualifications recognized by an institution accredited in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in fields related to land administration, GIS, agriculture, law, or similar areas.
