SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid organization that has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters for over 40 years. Job Overview:
The primary mission of the Ethics and Internal Audit service is to provide assurance to management on how the organization protects itself from assessed risks by establishing a thoughtful, effective, and formalized system of activity control. This service formulates recommendations to enhance effectiveness and is supported by a wide range of expertise and responsibilities, guaranteed by the service's independence. The service is also responsible for the ethical guidelines of the organization and manages professional alert mechanisms. The intern will work under the hierarchical responsibility of the Abuse Prevention Officer and will participate in ongoing projects led by the service teams, including the revision of internal standards and tools dedicated to the prevention and handling of reports of abusive behaviors such as fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, human rights violations, and gender-based violence. The intern will also assist in organizing events, training sessions, briefings, and may be involved in internal communication actions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the functioning of a humanitarian NGO, its constraints, and various approaches.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's duties will include participating in ongoing projects, particularly the revision of internal standards and tools for preventing and addressing reports of abusive behaviors. This includes fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, human rights violations, and gender-based violence. The intern will assist in organizing events, training sessions, and briefings, and may lead internal communication actions. They will manage sensitive data, including recording, tracking, and analyzing data through an interactive database. The intern will support the monitoring of reports of abusive behaviors and participate in occasional control and verification activities, as well as report preparation. They will also follow and participate in the animation of the community of practice for field focal points on PSEAH (Prevention of Sexual Abuse, Exploitation, and Harassment) and participate ad-hoc in disseminating procedures and tools from other service areas.

Required Qualifications:
The tasks to be performed are transversal and sensitive, requiring autonomy, rigor, and versatility. A knowledge of, or at least a desire to understand, the humanitarian sector and its constraints is essential. The tasks described in this announcement may evolve based on ongoing projects within the service and the needs that arise. Required skills include strong writing abilities in both French and English, advanced writing and synthesis skills, and a keen interest in ethical and compliance issues. The intern should have the ability to conduct legal monitoring (related to gender-based violence) and sectoral monitoring (SEAH). Proficiency in layout, graphic design, and visual creation is also necessary, along with a sensitivity to quality approaches in program implementation.

Educational Background:
A higher education background in international relations and solidarity is preferred, or any relevant training that meets the required competencies (internal audit, law, etc.).

Experience:
The position requires a strong interest and motivation for the associative and humanitarian sector. The intern should possess critical thinking skills and the ability to propose solutions, as well as rigor, adaptability, autonomy, and responsiveness to manage multiple files simultaneously. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, Publisher) is essential, along with good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Languages:
Fluency in both French and English is mandatory, with strong writing skills required in both languages. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
The internship is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), accessible via the Mairie de Clichy metro station. An internship agreement is mandatory. The compensation is €5.60 per hour, calculated pro-rata based on actual hours worked in the month (approximately 154 hours per month, equivalent to 22 days of 7 hours each). Public transport costs are covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and meal vouchers worth €8.90 per day of actual internship work are provided, with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL contributing 60%.
