Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will have a variety of responsibilities that may include: collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from multiple sources to support the development of datasets, data models, and surveys; applying statistical and/or mathematical programming techniques to interpret and derive insights from complex data; providing technical support for existing analytical products, including reports, dashboards, and data tools; supporting data cleaning, validation, and integration efforts using primary and secondary data sources; maintaining databases and data management systems; translating analytical findings into clear written reports, data visualizations, and presentations for stakeholders and senior leadership; assisting with data mining, optimization initiatives, metrics development, and predictive analytics; contributing to the identification and development of innovative methodologies and approaches for new data products and analytical solutions; and performing other related duties as required to support team objectives.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). No prior working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. However, candidates should possess training, education, advanced coursework, or skills that would benefit the United Nations during their internship.
