Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position involves participating in the structuring, documentation, and deployment of the SOLIS bot, which is an application developed by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL to share and collect information directly from the field. The intern will support country offices and users, as well as the project team. The internship includes an operational component (user support and KPI tracking) and a communication component (onboarding, demos, tutorials, and documentation). The intern will assist in designing onboarding materials and help teams open new SOLIS bot lines, conduct demonstrations, and train initial users. They will also be the operational contact for frequently asked questions and will escalate issues to technical referents as needed. Additionally, the intern will prepare and participate in monthly demos for the SERA and PROGRAM teams, produce or coordinate the creation of video tutorials, and establish a Wiki for the SOLIS bot to provide comprehensive guidance for users.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's primary responsibilities will include supporting missions and partners by assisting with the onboarding of new SOLIS bot users, providing operational support, and ensuring the effective use of the bot in various countries including Lebanon, Ukraine, and Haiti. They will be responsible for designing onboarding materials, conducting demonstrations, and training users. The intern will also be the point of contact for operational questions, track the resolution of issues, and participate in monthly demo sessions. Furthermore, they will contribute to the creation of a Wiki for the SOLIS bot, which will include a user guide and a library of content. The intern will also be involved in project support and capitalization, which includes updating impact indicators, collecting and synthesizing data from country offices and partners, and participating in technological monitoring related to chatbots and early warning systems. The intern will need to demonstrate autonomy, versatility, and availability while understanding the humanitarian sector and its constraints.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a strong interest in the humanitarian sector, information management, and technologies applied to humanitarian action. They should possess the ability to produce and present educational materials such as presentations, demos, and tutorials. Good writing and synthesis skills in both French and English are mandatory. Familiarity with the humanitarian project cycle and a commitment to quality in program implementation are also required. Candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in the associative world and the humanitarian sector, be proactive, possess critical thinking skills, and be adaptable. They should be capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and have good interpersonal skills.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a higher education degree in humanitarian project management, political science, or international relations, along with some experience in project management or communication. Alternatively, candidates with a higher education degree from a business school or communication program with experience in an NGO or humanitarian organization will also be considered.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have some prior experience in project management or communication, ideally within the humanitarian sector. This experience will help the intern understand the operational challenges faced by humanitarian organizations and contribute effectively to the SOLIS bot project.

Languages:
Fluency in both French and English is mandatory for this position. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not explicitly required.

  • The intern will receive a stipend of €5.60 per hour, calculated based on actual hours worked. Transportation costs will be covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and meal vouchers worth €8.90 per day will be provided, with a 60% contribution from the organization.
