Job Overview: The International UN Volunteer will support the Climate Information and Early Warning Systems Portfolio (CIEWS) within UNEP's Climate Change Division. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the International UN Volunteer include:
Supporting the management of the project on 'Strengthening Climate Information and Early Warning Systems for science-based climate solutions', including components funded by the Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF).
Assisting in the development and revision of project Annual Work Plans, detailing activities, targets, budgets, and standards for measuring progress.
Revising project documentation based on feedback from internal and external partners.
Monitoring and reporting on assigned projects with Implementing Partners to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Maintaining an overview of the project portfolio status, issuing alerts, and proposing remedial measures as necessary.
Documenting lessons learned from CIEWS projects, including SOFF-supported work.
Managing a document repository for project files, documentation, budgetary records, and reports.
Coordinating administrative activities related to project implementation, liaising with various organizational units. 1
Collecting and analyzing data to identify trends, providing insights through data visualization for planning and reporting. 1
Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
