Job Overview:
The SAS Program Manager will oversee the Social Adjustment Services and SOR programs at IRC Dallas, which have seen significant growth in recent years. This role is crucial in enhancing the health and well-being of refugee and immigrant communities, aligning with the office's strategic vision. The manager will be responsible for various aspects of program management, including staff management, grants management, project design, and strategic planning. The position requires collaboration with program teams to ensure effective service delivery and the development of new programs as needed. The SAS Program Manager will report directly to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of programs and will play a key role in shaping the future of health and wellness programming within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The SAS Program Manager will manage multiple health and wellness programs, ensuring they provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services. Responsibilities include identifying service gaps, managing federal and state grants, developing and managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. The manager will also implement monitoring and evaluation activities to assess program effectiveness and document successes. Staff support and supervision are critical, including providing mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The manager will engage in program development by identifying unmet needs, designing new programming, and maintaining relationships with funders and partners. Leadership responsibilities include participating in strategic planning and ensuring alignment with IRC Dallas's objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience, with a minimum of 3+ years in program management, grant management, social services, or related fields. A holistic understanding of refugee and immigrant health and wellness is essential, along with knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and community needs. Experience in staff supervision, program leadership, and engagement with diverse populations is required. Strong organizational skills, public speaking experience, and proficiency in English are mandatory, with additional language skills in local immigrant communities being preferred.

Educational Background:
A relevant degree in social work, public health, or a related field is required. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Candidates should have a strong foundation in health and wellness programming, particularly as it pertains to refugee and immigrant populations.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3+ years of relevant professional experience in program management, grant compliance, social services, mental health services, or humanitarian relief. Candidates should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by refugee and immigrant communities and possess experience in managing diverse teams and programs.

Languages:
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Professional proficiency in languages spoken by local immigrant and refugee communities, such as Arabic, Dari, Kinyarwanda, Pashto, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, or Ukrainian, is preferred but not required.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in a standard professional office environment, currently operating in a hybrid model. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required. The compensation for this role is set at a range of $75,000, with specific offers calibrated based on work location and individual candidate experience.
