Job Overview:
The Senior IT Officer, Architecture position at the World Bank Group is a critical role within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU). This unit is instrumental in enabling the organization to fulfill its mission of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff across more than 150 locations. The role involves leading the Front Office stream in the implementation, enhancement, and support of the Murex platform, which is essential for the organization's financial operations. The officer will work closely with traders, risk managers, and business analysts to ensure that the Murex platform is configured to meet the needs of the organization, thereby facilitating effective decision-making and operational efficiency. The position requires a strong understanding of financial products and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that the platform supports the organization's financial strategies effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior IT Officer will be responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation of the Murex platform, focusing on the Front Office stream. Key duties include configuring and optimizing various modules within Murex, such as FX, Money Market, Interest Rate Derivatives, Bonds, and Securities Finance. The officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of the trade lifecycle and will manage the pricing, valuation, market data, and simulation views modules. Additionally, the officer will perform impact assessments for new product setups and system changes, ensuring that market data is accurately set up and consistent across Murex environments. The role also involves troubleshooting configuration and pricing issues, requiring excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Senior IT Officer position should possess a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in treasury systems, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Murex configuration. A strong understanding of project management methodologies, particularly Agile, is preferred. Candidates should also have a solid grasp of Forex, Money Markets, Derivatives, Bonds, and Securities Finance products, including their pricing and valuation concepts. In-depth knowledge of Murex modules related to pre-trades, e-trade pads, market data, and simulation is essential, along with experience in defining and calibrating interest rate curves for various instruments.

Educational Background:
The position requires a relevant educational background, typically a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or financial systems may be advantageous.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in treasury systems, specifically with a focus on Murex configuration. A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience is expected, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on work in the financial technology sector.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. While no additional languages are specified as preferred, proficiency in other languages may be beneficial in a global organization like the World Bank Group.
