Job Overview:
The Senior Business Analysis Associate position is a critical role within UNHCR's HR Transformation initiative, aimed at modernizing and streamlining HR service delivery through innovative technology and real-time data. The incumbent will provide global system support primarily using Workday Case Management and ServiceNow for escalated HR inquiries. The role involves advanced troubleshooting of Workday business processes, analyzing configurations across multiple modules, and supporting timely case resolution. The consultant will work within a model that includes L3 support for Workday and L2 support for ServiceNow, focusing on Workday configuration, troubleshooting, and case resolution without engaging in system integration work. The initial contract is for six months with the possibility of extension, and the target start date is February 1, 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Business Analysis Associate include providing hands-on Workday configuration analysis and troubleshooting across HR modules, supporting the resolution of complex global HR system cases escalated to HRSPA, analyzing and troubleshooting business processes, calculated fields, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security configurations. The incumbent will support functional testing cycles, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release management activities. They will translate business requirements into technical Workday solutions aligned with best practices, identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, and ensure compliance with UNHCR data protection and privacy standards. Collaboration with multiple stakeholder groups across DPM, regional offices, and IT counterparts is essential. The role also involves assisting in solutions and design for business process challenges, re-engineering/enhancement of business processes, and providing quality assurance for developed solutions.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience working with HRIS/ERP systems, including direct Workday configuration or technical support experience. Essential qualifications include hands-on experience with Workday back-end configuration, business process definitions, calculated fields, and the Workday security framework. Experience supporting production Workday tenants in a global environment and familiarity with enterprise case management platforms such as Workday Case Management and ServiceNow are also required. Candidates should have exposure to change management initiatives in international or multinational organizations and must be fluent in English. Desirable qualifications include experience within the UN system or international humanitarian organizations, Workday certification in HCM and/or functional modules, and familiarity with AI-enabled HR tools and business intelligence solutions.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary education with a post-secondary certificate or training in business administration, international relations, information technology, or related fields. A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience with IT systems and in business analysis is required, with prior experience in ERP systems being essential. The educational background should support the technical and analytical skills necessary for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Candidates should have experience in finding technical solutions and efficiencies for business process challenges, involvement in change management initiatives in an international or multinational environment, and specific change management experience in at least one ERP deployment project or key initiative, preferably within the UN system.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of additional UN languages is desirable. For national professional jobs, knowledge of the local language is also required. The ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical contexts is essential for this role.

This position is open to candidates who have the legal right to work in Hungary or can work remotely on Central European Time.
