Duties and Responsibilities: The Public Health Officer has several key functions, including:
Coordinating data collection and management activities, which involves compiling and analyzing data on target populations, managing information systems, and maintaining databases related to public health activities.
Implementing programme activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, which includes following up on programme implementation, visiting communities, and preparing regular reports on health conditions.
Taking initiative during emergencies to provide technical assistance in preparedness and response efforts, particularly in crisis situations involving refugees. The officer will also liaise with local partners to share data and provide technical feedback on health reports.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in medicine, with a master's degree in public health being desirable. Essential qualifications include at least one year of experience in health sectorcoordination at either the national or international level. Experience with UN organizations, international institutions, or NGOs, as well as familiarity with donor reporting, is also preferred.
