Job Overview:
The position of Full Stack Developer is integral to the project aimed at strengthening and monitoring actions related to innovation and improvement of penal and socio-educational systems in alignment with national and international human rights principles. The developer will work under the supervision of the coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">technical coordinator and the Information Technology Specialist, contributing to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of system development actions. The role requires collaboration with the CNJ (National Justice Council) and UNDP teams to ensure the quality and efficiency of project deliverables. The developer will be involved in the development and enhancement of application modules, ensuring seamless integration with partner systems, and will play a key role in improving data collection and production processes within the penal and socio-educational systems. The project is expected to run until October 31, 2027, and aims to enhance the functioning of these systems while addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
  • Development and enhancement of application modules, participating in the conception of functionalities, implementing front-end and back-end features, ensuring smooth integration with partner systems, and maintaining data consistency and efficiency.
  • Creation of scalable components and structures, ensuring reusability and adherence to business rules.
  • Designing and implementing secure access mechanisms, including authentication and authorization protocols.
  • Developing strategies for continuous application functionality, particularly in environments with unstable connectivity.
  • Performing corrections, evolutionary adjustments, and optimizations while monitoring operational metrics and identifying bottlenecks.
  • Contributing to technical analyses, estimates, scope reviews, and documentation of solutions.
  • Enhancing user experience and refining system workflows in collaboration with designers and content specialists.
  • Facilitating knowledge development and capacity building by documenting best practices and lessons learned from the project.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in technology and information systems. A Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field is required, or a Bachelor's degree with two additional years of relevant experience. Candidates with a Master's degree do not need prior professional experience, while those with a Bachelor's degree must have at least two years of experience in the field. Desired skills include proficiency in back-end development using PHP (Laravel), Java, or Node.js, experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, knowledge of solution architecture, and familiarity with mobile application development. Candidates should also have experience with API integration, authentication mechanisms, version control using Git, and containerized environments such as Docker.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field combined with two years of additional experience will be considered. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in technology and systems development, equipping candidates with the necessary skills to fulfill the role effectively.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience if they hold a Bachelor's degree. Those with a Master's degree are not required to have prior experience. Experience should include work in technology development, particularly in systems related to justice or public service, and familiarity with the Brazilian judicial system is advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is required for this position, as the role involves working within Brazilian systems and collaborating with local stakeholders. An intermediate level of English is desirable, enabling effective communication in an international context and with diverse teams.
