Job Overview:
The position of Associado/a em Dados e Estatística is integral to the project aimed at strengthening the Brazilian Judiciary's capacity to promote human rights and access to justice for structurally vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will work remotely and is expected to have a strong background in quantitative research methodologies, data extraction, treatment, visualization, and analysis. This role involves producing and analyzing data, formulating and monitoring indicators, and collaborating with project coordination and teams from UNDP and CNJ. The Associado/a will support the management, analysis, and monitoring of strategic data, contributing to evidence production and technical support for judicial policy formulation and evaluation. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure the quality and strategic use of data produced, aligning with the project's goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Associado/a em Dados e Estatística include:
  • Data Management, Collection, and Treatment: Supporting the collection, treatment, integration, and analysis of data from CNJ systems and other institutional databases; developing strategies for data extraction and qualification; conceiving mechanisms for data management and sharing; ensuring ethical use of AI.
  • Statistical Analysis, Modeling, and Analytical Production: Conducting statistical analyses, methodological reviews, and diagnostics; providing technical comments on studies and evaluations; producing transparent and replicable analytical materials; developing technical subsidies for judicial policy development and monitoring.
  • Methodology, Indicators, and Strategic Monitoring: Contributing to the definition and application of analysis methodologies; formulating and monitoring strategic goals and indicators; supporting evidence-based monitoring and evaluation strategies.
  • Institutional Articulation and Partnerships: Mapping and articulating strategic partnerships; ensuring methodological alignment in data use with internal teams and institutional partners.
  • Project Governance Support: Supporting project coordination and providing technical guidance to consultants; participating in institutional activities and ensuring quality in deliverables; engaging in recruitment and training activities; executing other relevant tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the position include a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience (or 4 years with a university degree) in data extraction, treatment, and analysis. Candidates should possess strong IT skills, proficiency in office software, and knowledge of quantitative research methodologies and statistical analysis software. Desired skills include experience in data extraction, cleaning, and analysis, knowledge of statistical modeling, data mining techniques, and machine learning, as well as familiarity with programming languages such as R and Python. Experience with data visualization tools like Qlik Sense, Power BI, and R Shiny is also advantageous, along with previous work on projects related to the Judiciary, Public Sector, or Human Rights.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma as a minimum requirement. A university degree in Human or Social Sciences, Statistics, Information Technology, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with relevant experience may be considered even if they do not meet the educational requirements.

Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in data extraction, treatment, and analysis if they hold a high school diploma, or 4 years if they possess a university degree. This experience should ideally include work in contexts related to the Judiciary, Public Sector, or Human Rights, particularly in evaluating public policies.

Languages:
Fluency in Portuguese is required for this position, while a basic level of English is desirable. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication and collaboration in diverse environments.
