Job Overview: The Fellow position is designed to attract individuals, typically PhD students, researchers, and professors, who possess advanced technical knowledge and experience relevant to the fields of the FAO. Duties and Responsibilities: The fellow will perform functions as specified in the Terms of Reference (TOR) prepared by the hiring office. This may include conducting research, contributing to projects, collaborating with teams, and providing technical expertise in relevant areas. The fellow is expected to adapt to an international multicultural environment, demonstrate effective communication skills, and engage in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives. Specific tasks will be determined based on the fellow's background and the organization's requirements.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a graduate or post-graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) or be enrolled in a PhD program at a recognized educational institution at the time of application. FAO only considers higher educational qualifications from institutions accredited in the World Higher Education Database (WHED). Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of relevant working or research experience in one of the fields of the organization. They must also be nationals of FAO member countries and demonstrate the ability to adapt to a multicultural environment with strong communication skills.
