Job Overview: The Senior Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the ASYCUDA Programme by managing various administrative functions. Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: coordinating human resource activities, maintaining vacancy announcement files, advising staff on visa matters, and monitoring staffing tables. In terms of budget and finance, the incumbent will assist in the preparation of the unit’s work programme and budget, monitor budget implementation, and review requisitions for goods and services. General administration duties will include providing guidance and training to other staff, drafting agreements, and resolving diverse issues as they arise. The role also involves contract administration, where the assistant will audit contractor invoices, process payments, and manage all necessary UN forms and permissions. The position requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring compliance with UN regulations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A first-level university degree or higher is preferred and can reduce the required work experience. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in administrative services, finance, accounting, audit, human resources, or a related area. Candidates with a first-level university degree may qualify with 8 years of experience. Additionally, experience in data analytics or related fields is desirable, as is experience working with international organizations such as the United Nations.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent. However, candidates with a first-level university degree or higher will be given preference, as this can reduce the required years of experience.
