Duties and Responsibilities: The Programme Assistant will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting in the planning and implementation of ASYCUDA activities, researching and analyzing data related to projects, coordinating the preparation of project proposals, monitoring the status of projects, ensuring the completion of project documents, and assisting in the evaluation of programmes/projects. The incumbent will also categorize and track data related to project finances, prepare reports and statistical tables, draft correspondence related to project administration, and provide training to new staff. Furthermore, the Programme Assistant will be involved in the collection and analysis of data for presentations and reports, ensuring that all aspects of programme/project administration are managed effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 7 years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation, or a related area is required. For candidates with a first-level university degree or higher, the minimum experience requirement is reduced to 5 years. Experience in data analytics or a related field is desirable, as is experience working in an automated customs environment or supporting UN technical cooperation programmes. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of internal policies and procedures related to programme/project administration and implementation.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent. However, candidates with a first-level university degree or higher will have a reduced experience requirement, indicating that higher education is valued and may enhance a candidate's qualifications for the role.
