Job Overview: The Camp Management Assistant (CFM) plays a crucial role in supporting accountability to affected populations by managing complaint and feedback activities at the Community Resource Center (CRC) and surrounding Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) sites and host communities. This position is vital in ensuring that the voices of IDPs are heard and addressed effectively. The CFM will be responsible for receiving, documenting, and referring complaints and feedback related to Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), Shelter, and WASH services. The role requires a proactive approach to engage with the community, promote transparency, and ensure that the services provided meet the needs of the displaced population. The CFM will also conduct awareness sessions to educate IDPs about their rights and available services, thereby fostering a sense of empowerment and community involvement.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Camp Management Assistant (CFM) will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Supporting the CRC by collecting, managing, and addressing complaints, feedback, and inquiries from IDPs and the host community through CRC desks and field visits.
Accurately registering complaints using approved CFM tools and formats.
Referring complaints to supervisors and relevant teams and following up on response statuses to ensure accountability.
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding and PSEA protocols at all times.
Supporting awareness sessions on IDPs' rights, available services, and feedback channels.
Assisting in organizing CFM records and summary updates.
Engaging with the community to promote transparency and accountability in service delivery within the CRC.
Attending the CRC during working hours to receive community feedback.
Conducting short field visits to collect feedback from IDP sites. 1
Updating complaint logs and trackers daily. 1
Displaying and maintaining CFM visibility materials at CRC and sites. 1
Conducting awareness sessions and mass campaigns on services and available feedback channels.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the Camp Management Assistant (CFM) position include:
A secondary school certificate or higher.
Previous community work experience is considered an asset.
Good communication and listening skills are essential for effectively engaging with the community.
The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion is crucial.
Basic literacy and the ability to complete simple forms are necessary for documentation purposes.
