Job Overview:
The Provincial Coordinator, PSM is tasked with enhancing the performance of the Provincial Health Logistics Management Center (PHLMC) and collaborating with various health stakeholders at the provincial and local levels. This role is integral to the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, focusing on improving pharmaceutical supply management (PSM) at the subnational level. The coordinator will oversee critical aspects such as inventory management, waste and drug disposal, and the distribution of medical equipment. Additionally, the role involves forecasting and quantification activities to ensure that health services are effectively delivered. The coordinator will also be responsible for building strong networks with local partners and government agencies, ensuring that project activities are aligned and that key learnings are scaled across the nation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Provincial Coordinator will represent FHI 360 Nepal at various governmental levels, fostering relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities include providing data and inputs for project reporting, identifying gaps in performance, and sharing success stories. The coordinator will engage with officials from the Provincial Health Directorate, Health Offices, and other local authorities to enhance the procurement and supply chain processes. Key duties also involve mentoring and coaching to strengthen PSM functions, assisting in forecasting and quantification exercises, and monitoring stock statuses of health commodities. The coordinator will participate in working group meetings to address challenges and will organize supportive supervision alongside government officials. Additionally, the role requires tracking province-level information, performing data quality checks, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, public health, supply chain management, or pharmacy, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in supply chain implementation and oversight, particularly concerning health commodities. Knowledge of public health supply chain management and familiarity with the Public Asset Management System (PAMS) is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in public health commodity management and a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and with various stakeholders, including NGOs and government entities. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a virtual work environment.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as health, public health, supply chain management, or pharmacy is required. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the complexities of health supply chains and the management of health commodities.

Experience:
The position requires at least three years of experience in supply chain management, particularly in the health sector. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of effective oversight and monitoring of supply chain processes, with a preference for those who have experience in public health commodity management.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Nepali is mandatory, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in documentation and reporting in both languages is essential for this role.
