Job Overview:
The position involves providing specialized audiovisual production services for UNICEF, focusing on creating culturally relevant pieces and covering events. Selected candidates will join a roster of experts who will be called upon for specific tasks based on detailed work orders. The role requires a thorough understanding of the project’s purpose, target audience, and required level of formality. The consultant will be responsible for producing high-quality audiovisual content that meets UNICEF's standards and guidelines, ensuring that all materials are delivered in high resolution for appropriate publication across various media and digital platforms. The consultant will work remotely, utilizing their own tools and resources, and must adhere to UNICEF's principles and commitments to child protection and prevention of abuse.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide audiovisual production services for UNICEF, including the creation of culturally relevant pieces and event coverage.
  • Coordinate with the Communications area and UNICEF Program Officers or Specialists to agree on product parameters.
  • Conduct a preliminary analysis of assigned projects to ensure understanding of purpose, target audience, and required formality.
  • Produce audiovisual content according to specific requirements, ensuring quality, fluency, and consistency with UNICEF guidelines.
  • Generate all videos in high resolution for publication across various media and digital platforms.
  • Deliver illustrations within the established timeframe for UNICEF's review.
  • Make necessary adjustments to meet UNICEF's quality and consistency standards.
  • Ensure all produced materials are owned by UNICEF, with proper credit given to the artist.
  • Follow UNICEF's Basic Commitments for Children and ensure activities prevent abuse and exploitation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Technical training in Audiovisual Production, Film, Visual Communication, Visual Arts, Advertising, or related fields. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in audiovisual production and/or cultural production. Previous experience with international organizations, UN agencies, or the social sector is valued.
  • Specific knowledge in creative and inclusive audiovisual production.
  • Proficiency in audiovisual production software, preferably compatible with the Adobe suite.
  • Basic writing and spelling skills.
  • Comprehensive technical management of projects, including pre-production, filming, editing, lettering, animation, and preparation for digital publication.
  • Effective time management and strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to receive feedback and adjust illustrations according to requirements.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality standards.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have technical training in Audiovisual Production, Film, Visual Communication, Visual Arts, Advertising, or related fields. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, as it demonstrates a higher level of education and understanding of the field.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in audiovisual production and/or cultural production. Experience with international organizations, UN agencies, or the social sector will be considered an asset, as it indicates familiarity with the operational standards and expectations of such entities.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish (written, spoken, and read) is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required for this position.

Additional Notes:
The position is remote, and candidates will use their own tools and resources. Being selected for the roster does not guarantee a contract with UNICEF; it is aimed at identifying experts for future needs. The roster is valid for a maximum of 36 months after the process concludes and participants are notified. Selected candidates will not be considered 'staff members' under UN regulations and will not receive benefits such as vacation or health insurance. They are responsible for their tax obligations and ensuring valid health insurance during the contract period. Candidates must confirm full vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a WHO-approved vaccine before starting the mission, although this does not apply to remote consultants.
