Job Overview:
The Monitoring and Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in the implementation of projects by overseeing monitoring, reporting, knowledge management, evaluation support, and research. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that project indicators are accurately monitored and reported. The analyst will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, maintaining data records, and ensuring compliance with UNDP's corporate monitoring systems. The role also involves facilitating knowledge management and learning within the ABR team, supporting the development of knowledge products, and ensuring that gender equality considerations are integrated into all aspects of the work. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders, including project staff, partners, and the broader ABR team, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective monitoring of the project by systematically collecting, analyzing, and cleaning data for project indicators, maintaining data records, and providing feedback to improve data quality.
  • Regularly report in UNDP’s corporate monitoring systems, ensuring entries are complete and compliant with guidelines.
  • Administer quality assurance for inputs from the ABR team for project dashboards.
  • Organize field monitoring visits and prepare monitoring reports.
  • Collect inputs for corporate, donor, and government reports, ensuring timely submission and alignment with templates.
  • Conduct fact-checking, proofreading, and editing of report content.
  • Provide technical support for the development of knowledge products and participate in internal review working groups.
  • Support the finalization and dissemination of knowledge products, including social media posts and press releases.
  • Assist in organizing capacity-development sessions for the ABR team and partners. 1
  • Support evaluations and audits by preparing relevant data and documentation. 1
  • Contribute to the development of data collection tools and organize surveys. 1
  • Assist with data visualization and summarizing research findings. 1
  • Ensure gender equality considerations are mainstreamed in all activities and promote a safe environment free of discrimination.

Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Sociology, Social Sciences, Statistics, Information Management, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the mentioned areas combined with two years of qualifying experience will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in data management and reporting.
  • Proven ability to conduct fact-checking, proofreading, and editing of technical documents.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in office software packages and data management tools, with experience in data visualization and GIS mapping being advantageous.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Sociology, Social Sciences, Statistics, Information Management, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Business Administration, or Public Administration. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in these areas, along with two years of relevant experience, will be considered.

Experience:
For applicants with a Master's degree, professional work experience is not required. However, those with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience at the national or international level in monitoring, reporting, evaluation, research, or data management within development, humanitarian assistance, or early recovery projects. Experience in collecting, analyzing, and managing both quantitative and qualitative data is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Ukrainian is required for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.
