Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Systems Security Engineer will be responsible for reviewing ongoing technical developments and evaluating potential vulnerabilities in safeguards equipment. This includes conducting vulnerability assessments, coordinating with external experts, and contributing to the operation of the Division’s Vulnerability Review Laboratory. The engineer will draft and implement information security policies, perform policy gap analyses, and contribute to the development of standardized methodologies for assessing information security. Additionally, the role involves preparing technical documents, providing field installation support, and training inspectors on vulnerabilities mitigation techniques.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of five years of relevant working experience in information security, equipment security, and systems engineering is required. Experience in the implementation of nuclear safeguards is considered an asset, as is professional experience at the international level. Strong analytical writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English are essential, with knowledge of other official IAEA languages being advantageous.

Educational Background:
The position requires a university degree in a technical area such as computer science or engineering. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of safeguards systems and the technical requirements for ensuring their security.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least five years of relevant experience in the fields of information security and systems engineering.
