Job Overview:
The SRH Specialist position is crucial for providing programmatic and technical leadership within the Country Office (CO) in Port Sudan. Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Representative, the SRH Specialist will oversee all aspects related to the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of SRH humanitarian activities. This role involves coordinating the implementation of SRH programs and leading the SRH sub-coordination" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">cluster coordination under the health sector response to the ongoing crisis in Sudan. The SRH Specialist will supervise the CO staff within the SRH Unit and ensure that the humanitarian response aligns with UNFPA's guidelines. The position requires a proactive approach to assess SRH needs, develop innovative service delivery strategies, and enhance the capacity of local actors in SRH service provision. The SRH Specialist will also play a key role in resource mobilization and partnership development to support SRH programming in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The SRH Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: providing programmatic and technical leadership for the SRH humanitarian response; conducting rapid assessments of SRH needs; coordinating community and service delivery programs; leading the design and implementation of the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Reproductive Health; mapping existing SRH services and identifying bottlenecks; suggesting innovative approaches to service provision; collaborating with logistics and procurement units for emergency supplies; ensuring alignment with UNFPA SRHiE Guidelines; maintaining relationships with health clusters and UN partners; developing proposals for funding; leading the development of humanitarian SRH briefs; monitoring SRH interventions; supporting capacity building for national and humanitarian actors; and performing any other duties as required by the Deputy Representative.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in medical sciences or public health, or equivalent qualifications. A minimum of 7 years of working experience in reproductive health, preferably within the UN system or an international non-governmental organization (INGO), is required. The ideal candidate should have experience in coordinating and implementing the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Reproductive Health, proven leadership and management skills, strong analytical and organizational abilities, and a commitment to the mission of UNFPA. Humanitarian and field experience is considered a strong asset, as is a demonstrated interest in development work.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in medical sciences or public health is required for this position. Equivalent qualifications may also be considered. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in reproductive health and public health principles, enabling the candidate to effectively lead and manage SRH programs in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The position requires at least 7 years of relevant working experience in the field of reproductive health. Candidates should have a strong background in coordination and implementation of SRH programs, particularly the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Reproductive Health. Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively is essential, along with strong analytical, coordination, and organizational skills. Experience in humanitarian settings and a commitment to the principles of the United Nations are highly valued.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. A working knowledge of Arabic is considered an asset, as it would facilitate communication and collaboration with local stakeholders and communities in Sudan.
