Job Overview:
The Cleaner position within the OSCE Mission to Moldova is a temporary role that involves providing essential cleaning services to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the mission's premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring that the work environment is safe and welcoming for all staff and visitors. This role is crucial for the overall functioning of the mission, as it contributes to a professional atmosphere conducive to the mission's objectives. The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Chief of Fund Administration and the National Procurement/Materials Management Officer, and will be expected to perform their duties with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. The position may involve working on an as-needed basis, with contracts ranging from one day to six months, depending on operational requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cleaner will be responsible for a comprehensive set of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to: dusting furniture, cleaning doors, windows, toilets, and sinks; mopping, washing, or vacuuming floors and carpets; emptying waste bins and ensuring that cleaning equipment is maintained in good condition. Additionally, the Cleaner will be tasked with cleaning and sanitizing countertops, sinks, and appliances, operating and unloading the dishwasher, maintaining coffee machines, kettles, and microwaves, and cleaning dishes and utensils. The role also includes monitoring kitchen and cleaning supplies, preparing meeting rooms for events, maintaining plants in common areas, and reporting any maintenance issues such as leaks or broken fixtures. The Cleaner may also be required to perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess primary education and have at least one year of experience in cleaning premises or offices. They should demonstrate the ability to use general cleaning and household equipment effectively. Good communication skills in both Romanian and Russian are essential, as the role requires interaction with a diverse group of individuals. Candidates must also be residents of the Republic of Moldova and exhibit gender awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to integrate a gender perspective into their tasks. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, respecting different cultural and religious backgrounds, is crucial for this position.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Candidates should have a foundational understanding of cleaning practices and procedures, which can be gained through formal education or practical experience in similar roles.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least one year of relevant experience in cleaning or maintenance roles. This experience should include familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols. Languages:

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as a short-term contract, with appointments made on an as-needed basis. The monthly remuneration for this role is EUR 363.75, and OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Moldova. Candidates should be aware that the OSCE does not reimburse expenses related to travel for interviews, tests, or relocation.
