The incumbent will be responsible for developing detailed work plans, conducting weekly and monthly progress reports, and ensuring effective local coordination at the soum level. The Project Coordinator will also play a key role in monitoring and evaluating project outcomes, ensuring that all activities align with FAO's mission and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: supporting the National Project Manager in planning and executing project activities; ensuring timely implementation of project tasks; assisting in data collection for research and studies; organizing project-related discussions, workshops, and field trips; coordinating communication among local stakeholders; performing daily administrative tasks such as documentation and reporting; tracking progress related to the Monitoring and Evaluation plan; and contributing to communication and awareness-raising efforts through various media channels. The role may also involve additional duties as assigned by the project manager or FAO Representative.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be nationals of Mongolia and possess the ability to reside and work in Bayan-Adraga soum, Khentii aimag. A university or college degree in agriculture, environment, or a closely related field is required. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in government, project management, or with international organizations. Proficiency in English is essential, along with strong competencies in teamwork, communication, and results focus as outlined by FAO's core competencies.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university or college degree in agriculture, environmental science, or a closely related field. Candidates must ensure that their qualifications are recognized by the World Higher Education Database (WHED), which is maintained by the International Association of Universities and UNESCO.
