Job Overview:
The position of Asistente ICLA is crucial for the implementation of the Information, Counseling, and Legal Assistance (ICLA) component in accordance with NRC's programmatic strategy in Panama. The role involves supporting the execution of the ICLA project portfolio as per the action plan, ensuring adherence to NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines. The Asistente ICLA will be responsible for preparing and developing reports required by the ICLA management or area, maintaining proper documentation, and promoting ideas to enhance support functions. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively within a team to achieve the objectives of the ICLA program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente ICLA will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: ensuring compliance with NRC policies and guidelines, supporting the implementation of the ICLA project portfolio, preparing necessary reports for management, maintaining organized documentation, and contributing to the development of strategies for legal assistance. Specific duties include providing information, guidance, and legal assistance to individuals in need of international protection and vulnerable migrants, promoting community participation in emergency assistance and durable solutions, conducting needs assessments, documenting and following up on cases, entering data into Office 365, and ensuring the proper archiving of documents. The role also involves preparing quantitative and narrative reports on implemented activities and supporting the achievement of project objectives and indicators.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Asistente ICLA position should possess a range of qualifications, including prior experience in internships or university practices, experience in support functions within humanitarian contexts, and proven experience related to the responsibilities of the role. Candidates should demonstrate analytical skills and have some knowledge of the English language. Specific qualifications include a degree in Law and Political Science, with the ability to practice as a lawyer, experience in defending the rights of refugees in humanitarian or social contexts, and knowledge of international and national regulations related to international protection and refugee status. Familiarity with Colombia's Law 1448 of 2011 is valued, as well as proficiency in Office software and databases.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Asistente ICLA position includes a bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science.
