Job Overview: The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the ESCWA Technology Centre (ETC) by enhancing the visibility and engagement of its digital platforms, DEPAR and ACM. This position involves creating and managing high-quality digital content, ensuring that both platforms are continuously updated with relevant program and beneficiary data. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for activating entrepreneurship and creative communities, as well as delivering coordinated digital campaigns that effectively communicate ETC's project activities and results. The role is particularly important in the lead-up to the Arab SMEs Summit, where the visibility of ETC's initiatives will be paramount. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Executive Director and other team members to ensure that the platforms reflect the live portfolio of initiatives and engage users effectively. This position requires a proactive approach to community building and digital promotion, with a focus on measurable impact and engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Developing and managing high-quality digital content for DEPAR, ACM, and ETC programs, which includes creating profiles, posts, announcements, visual assets, and multimedia content.
Contributing to task forces aimed at updating and strengthening DEPAR and ACM by curating and structuring content related to programs, opportunities, and knowledge products.
Growing and activating the DEPAR and ACM communities by onboarding entrepreneurs, SMEs, and organizations, and facilitating online engagement activities.
Collaborating with the ETC team to design and implement promotional campaigns that enhance the visibility of flagship programs and training sessions.
Coordinating content deployment around the Arab SMEs Summit to showcase ETC's programs and capture outcomes effectively.
Finalizing the migration of the SME Portal into the DEPAR platform, ensuring content is well-structured and aligned with user needs.
Tracking key performance indicators related to platform usage and community growth, and compiling reports on these metrics.
Collecting user feedback to inform platform content and updates.
Receiving training on the content management system (CMS) and independently managing content updates. 1
Supporting other ETC team members and contributing to additional tasks as needed to ensure project delivery.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field relevant to digital platforms and entrepreneurship. A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in project coordination, program administration, or management assistance is required. Experience in supporting entrepreneurship, SME, or creative programs through digital platforms is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility in adapting to changing tasks and responsibilities are also required.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or a related area is mandatory. Candidates must submit a copy of their educational degree as part of the application process, and incomplete applications will not be considered.
Experience: The position requires at least 5 years of practical experience in project coordination, program administration, or related fields. Candidates should have a proven track record of supporting digital programs, particularly in the context of entrepreneurship, SMEs, or creative industries. Experience in managing digital content and community engagement is highly valued.
Languages: Fluency in English is required for this position, with a strong command of all four language skills: speaking, reading, writing, and understanding. Knowledge of Arabic is also required, with a confident ability in at least two of the four language skills. French is a working language of the United Nations Secretariat, but proficiency in French is not mandatory for this role.
