Job Overview:
The Head of Organisational Capability is a critical role within the People & Culture team at Save the Children Australia, responsible for driving initiatives that enhance leadership capability, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. This permanent full-time position is based in either the Melbourne or Brisbane office, and it plays a vital part in the organization's strategy to create lasting change for children. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as conducting assessments to gauge organizational health and employee engagement. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Head of Organisational Capability include but are not limited to:
  • Driving the People Pillar of the organization's strategy to maximize impact for employees and children.
  • Developing and embedding a leadership framework and associated programs to enhance leadership capabilities across the organization.
  • Implementing modern workforce planning approaches, including forecasting and capability needs analysis.
  • Managing talent and succession planning for critical roles within the organization.
  • Conducting organizational health assessments and employee engagement surveys to inform strategic decisions.
  • Championing diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Reconciliation Action Plan to promote reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to build strong partnerships and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture that values diversity and inclusion.

Required Qualifications:
