Job Overview: As an Associate Strategy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Foundation's strategic initiatives. Reporting to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of the Foundation Strategy Office, you will engage in critical strategy projects that involve both qualitative and quantitative analyses. Your responsibilities will include synthesizing and communicating key insights to partners, managing client relationships, and supporting the development and prioritization of new strategies and initiatives across various domains such as Global Education, Gender Equality, Malaria, Family Planning, and more. This position operates in a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that you remain engaged with your team and the broader organizational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your primary duties will include employing strategic resources to develop and assess options, ensuring sound reasoning, and challenging assumptions throughout the strategic process. You will work closely with internal clients to co-develop and test strategy concepts, facilitating organizational change as needed. Additionally, you will support the implementation of innovative solutions that guide strategic decisions and enhance team operations. You will also contribute to the identification and implementation of research and analytical methodologies that support effective decision-making. Regular contributions to team development initiatives, such as refining team vision and goals, professional development, training, recruiting, onboarding, and organizing team social events, will also be part of your responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in strategic planning and consulting. Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm is highly desirable. A deep understanding of strategy development and sophisticated project management skills are essential. The ability to work sensitively across barriers such as language, culture, and distance is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Stata, or similar software, is required, along with a proven ability to convey information effectively through visual representations such as tables and graphs.
